It took about 7 hours to make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/anoknits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG_4125-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-145\" style=\"aspect-ratio:0.75;width:465px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anoknits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG_4125-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/anoknits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG_4125-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/anoknits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG_4125-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/anoknits.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG_4125.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Yarns<\/strong><br>We are knitters The Petite Wool : 2 skeins (136g were used) &#8211; Pearl<br>Hedgehog Fibres Silk Mohair: 20g &#8211; Potluck<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gauge<\/strong><br>11 sts and 11 rows for 10cm x 10cm (unwashed)<br>8 mm needles<br>Knitted fabric is squishy and drapey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cast on 40 sts.<\/strong><br>Knit back and forth (flat) for 15 rows, ending with a WS row:<br>WS k3, [k2,p2] 8 times, k2, sl3wyif<br>RS k3,[p2,k2] 8 times, p2, sl3wyif<br>Break yarn and put on hold.<br>Knit a second identical piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Assemble both pieces to knit in the round:<\/strong><br>Both pieces should be on the RS (as below picture).<br>CDD (Centered Double Decrease) on the 3 sts from the i-cord border, knit while maintaining 2&#215;2 rib pattern until 3 sts left on 1st piece, CDD<br>Repeat for 2nd piece. 72 sts left.<br>Now 2&#215;2 rib is in place to work in the round. Repeat this row until all side stitches are gone, ending with a WS row.<br>Back loop cast on 2 sts, turn to RS for i-cord bind off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I-cord<\/strong><br>On RS, k2, k2tog, slip sts back to left needles.<br>Once all live sts have been worked, continue i-cord by picking up stitches from the border:<br>18 sts on the side<br>14 sts from ribbing cast-off<br>18 sts from the other side<br>Finish by grafting the live i-cord sts to the i-cord cast-on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I-cord + picking up a st<\/strong><br>1. Knit the 2 first i-cord sts, slip the 3rd st to the right needle.<br>2. Pick up and knit a st from the border<br>3. Slip the new st + 3rd st<br>4.
